When should I reach out to you about a session?

It's never too early to inquire about a session, however, reaching out 4-6 weeks prior to your session date is preferred. This allows you enough time to get outfits ready and for us to discuss details.

What if I need to reschedule my session?

Reach out as soon as possible if you need to either cancel or reschedule. Your retainer is non-refundable but can be transferred to a new session date. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the session, you will still be expected to pay for your full session.

What is your turn around for images?

My turn around time is approximately 2 weeks. This varies depending on the time of year (August-November is my busy season). If I believe it will take longer than two weeks to receive your images, I'll communicate that with you the day of our session.

Do you do weddings?

As much as I love a good wedding, I'm not available as a wedding photographer. I can, however, recommend other photographers in the area who do weddings.

Do you do newborn sessions?

I am available for a lifestyle session in your home with your new baby and family. I do not have a studio and do not offer traditional newborn sessions.

Do you travel?

All travel expenses are based on the distance between the session location(s) and Local Lens Photography's home address. For all sessions, the first 30 miles round trip of travel are included. All miles in excess of 30 miles round trip are charged at $.59 per mile.

What do I wear?

If you are unsure what to wear for your session(s), reach out and I'm happy to help. I can send you guides to help with color choices or link to outfits that I believe would suit your session(s). My sister is also a great help with coordinating outfits and can be put in touch with you as well.

I'm running late--what do I do?

It happens to the best of us. Reach out as soon as possible to let me know you are running late. Your session still starts at the agreed upon time, so this will cut into your overall session time. If you fail reach out and are in excess of 15 minutes late, I will assume the session has been cancelled and leave the predetermined location. I am more than understanding in these situations, however, I cannot tolerate a lack of communication as my time is valuable.
